Childen are asked to bring a yoga mat, if they do have access to one, we will provide one. Have your child dressed appropriately for the weather as some of the activities will take place outdoors. We ask that that children bring a lunch each day. A snack and beverages will be provided. Please inform us of any allergies in advance.
Spirit Camp is based on nuturing the energetic, creative, physical and spiritual side of your child. It is not a religious camp and children of all beliefs are welcome and nurtured here.

The teachers: 
Barbara McKell is a Visionary Artist, Intuitive Healer, Transformational Sound Therapist and Reiki Master. She is the creator and developer of the original Reiki Kids program. She has a deep understanding and connection with children. Barbara has chosen to support children who have a desire to stay awake and become the next generation of conscious leaders in the new paradigm. Barbara has a loving nurturing presence and is dedicated to offering children creative solutions in encouraging and bringing out their innate abilities. Tracy Young has worked in various settings with children and teenagers for over a decade as an Integration Counsellor, Child and Youth Worker, Therapy Group Facilitator, Individual Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and Holistic Practitioner. Tracy believes that balance brings happiness and health, and through her work she guides youth in discovering and experiencing their own true meaning; to honour and understand their mind, body, and spirit. She is dedicated to providing an environment that will nurture the spirit in all children and youth, and allows the space to explore, push the limits and develop in creative ways. Tracy is a joyful unique being with a defined inner strength. She has the ability to bring fun, inspiration and enlightenment into everything she teaches and practices. www.tyoungyoga.com
 
 
REIKI KIDS

A Creative Exploration of Energy
Reiki Kids for children ages 5 to 12
June 28, 2009 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
at Eramosa Eden Retreat Center, Eden Mills Ontario
Bringing together Reiki and the Young is a sure recipe for magic on Earth.  This program is designed for children that march to their own beat and hear the sounds and feelings of all.  These young ones are manifest on this planet as teachers, guides and leaders and bringing Reiki to them enables clarity and validation of their inherent abilities.  An attunement is offered during this workshop, the acceptance of which is entirely up to the child.  The emphasis is placed on experiencing Reiki and putting words and feelings to this experience through art, movement and sound.
The workshop is conducted in a child friendly environment.  Parents may stay in a helping capacity.  There will be creative work and physical play, as such comfortable clothes are essential.  Snacks and refreshments will be made available, please inform us well in advance of any allergies.
This is a one day workshop getting in touch with subtle energy and learning simple methods of using Reiki.  This course is designed to be fun and interesting for children who have an awareness of their energetic being and would like to spend time in a nurturing, supportive atmosphere which allows them to explore their unique potential.

Reiki Kids class materials for Reiki Masters
"Reiki Kids" Manual — Barbara has created a book called "Reiki Kids" which is given to each child in the class.  It is a simple 20 page, colouring book style manual, that the children can follow along with during the class.  The book includes a simple history of Reiki, an explanation of Reiki, the energy field (chakras, aura etc), how to sense energy, the Reiki attunement and how to use Reiki.  You can purchse these material on the Reiki Kids website: www.reikikids.ca
Reiki Kids Teaching Guide for Reiki Masters
There is also a Teaching Guide for Reiki Masters.  The Teaching Guide is 28 pages of instructions and suggestions on how to use the Reiki Kids book and how to teach Reiki to children.
